The Power Walk for Dress for SuccessIn order to gain employment and become self-sufficient, it is critical that women are also healthy and well! Dress for Success empowers disadvantaged women to make healthy choices in work and in life. On May 8th, Dress for Success, Professional Women’s Group members, volunteers and supporters gathered to participate in The Power Walk for Dress for Success, a 5k fun walk through Battery Park. We celebrated those who have empowered us throughout our lives and together we took the first steps towards healthier futures for women and their families! Our first Power Walk could not have been possible without the support of hundreds of our sponsors, friends, and participants! With your help, we have raised over $100,000 to date to support Dress for Success! Fundraising is officially CLOSED for The Power Walk for Dress for Success in 2010, and we are excited to announce this year's top teams and individuals: New York Branch Participation Award: Manhattan Top Fundraising Professional Women's Group Team: The Manhattan Cougars Overall Top Fundraising Team: Resources Global Professionals Top Fundraising Professional Women's Group Member: Jessica Malavez-Vaitkevicius Overall Top Fundraising Individual: Clarice Kennedy Congratulations to all of our walk participants and award recipients!
